That the competition for a vacancy in the labor market is increasingly fierce is not news to anyone. People are increasingly qualified, trained, studying and perfecting themselves to deliver the best of themselves and guarantee their place in the market. At these times, every detail makes the difference and a well-crafted and properly structured curriculum, without a doubt, can put you ahead of many competitors.

Curriculum analysis works as a kind of triage, in which the recruiter is able to assess some professional aspects of the candidate. An interesting, objective, complete resume, free of grammatical errors and well done can make you get an interview, which increases the chances of winning the long-awaited vacancy.

The professional who wants the vacancy must know how to present all the skills and abilities well in order to attract the attention of the employer. It’s not enough to be good, you have to know how to show that you’re good!

And what are the characteristics of an ideal resume?

Complete: The resume should contain all of your professional information that is relevant to the job in question. Highlight your experiences, skills you have that are necessary to work in the intended position and courses you have taken or are taking that are a differential.

Objective: although it must be complete, the curriculum cannot be boring. You don’t want to tire the recruiter and make him give up before finishing reading your resume, do you? Be objective. You must work on your synthesis capacity, highlighting your differential, but succinctly. You can do this using the trick of topics, for example. Thus, your resume is more organized and reading is not so tiring. After finishing, reread and remove all information that you think is not relevant.

Personalized: the idea of the resume is to tell all your professional experience, however, it is important to emphasize that it must be all relevant professional experience for that vacancy. Know how to tell “your story” so that it becomes interesting for that employer in question. To do this, study the company, values, mission and, if possible, the profile of other people who work there. That way, you’ll know better how to highlight your strengths and work on your weaknesses.

Well-written: there’s no point in specializing, taking many courses, having years of experience and delivering a poorly written, disorganized, confusing resume with mistakes in Portuguese. Careful presentation of the curriculum is essential. Remember that every detail makes a difference. Draw up your resume, reread it, rewrite it if necessary, research it and take your time. This is an important step and must be done very well. If possible, ask someone you trust to review and correct possible errors or make suggestions, in order to get the best content, presented in the best way.

True: well, as already mentioned, it is important that the resume is objective, complete, personalized and well written. However, if it is not true, it has no value. Even if you don’t have much experience, aren’t so specialized and don’t speak more than one language, always choose to be sincere. Lying on your resume can cause you embarrassment at the time of the interview, cause problems in the future and even close the door to any vacancies that arise. At the right time, the ideal vacancy will appear. Always speak the truth and, meanwhile, continue studying and training yourself to improve as a professional.

Surely, by following these tips, you will be able to draw up a successful resume, which will provide you with opportunities and increase your chances of achieving the much-desired dream job.
