Preparation Method

1. Dough Preparation

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. Then add the passion fruit juice, melted butter and eggs. Mix all these ingredients until a homogeneous mass is formed. Add the passion fruit pulp and mix again.

2. Kneading the Dough

Transfer the dough to a smooth, floured surface. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes, until it is smooth and elastic. If necessary, add more wheat flour so that the dough does not stick to your hands.

3. Dough Rest

Place the dough in a large bowl, cover with a clean cloth and let it rest in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until the dough has doubled in size.

4. Bread Modeling

Once the dough has doubled in size, divide it into equal pieces and shape into loaves. You can make round loaves, elongated loaves, or whatever shape you prefer.

5. Second Rest

Place the shaped loaves on a greased and floured baking sheet. Cover again with a clean cloth and let rest for another 30 minutes, or until the buns rise a little more.

6. Bake the Loaves

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Brush the yolk over the buns and bake for about 30 minutes, or until the buns are golden. Remove from oven and let cool before serving.
