Sesame Bread Recipe

One of the wonders of home baking is the ability to create unique, flavorful breads like sesame bread. This bread has a delicious flavor and a crunchy texture thanks to the addition of sesame seeds. Here is a complete recipe for making delicious sesame bread.

Ingredients:

  • 500g wheat flour
  • 10g dry yeast
  • 10g of salt
  • 30g of sugar
  • 25g unsalted butter
  • 300ml of warm water
  • 100g sesame seeds

Preparation:

The preparation of sesame bread begins with the activation of the yeast. Mix the yeast and sugar in a small bowl and add 100ml of warm water. Let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes, until it starts to bubble.

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and add the softened butter, activated yeast and remaining water. Mix everything with your hands or a wooden spoon until it forms a dough.

Place the dough on a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes, until the dough is smooth and elastic. You can add more flour if needed to prevent the dough from sticking to the surface.

Place the dough in a large bowl, cover with a damp cloth and let it rest in a warm place for about an hour, or until the dough has doubled in size.

While the dough is resting, toast the sesame seeds in a dry skillet over medium heat, stirring constantly, until they are golden brown and fragrant. Let the seeds cool completely.

Once the dough has doubled in size, knead it again to remove the air. Add the toasted sesame seeds and knead the dough until the seeds are evenly distributed.

Form the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan. Cover the mold with a damp cloth and let the dough rest again for about 30 minutes, or until it doubles in size.

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Bake the bread for about 30-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the bread makes a hollow sound when tapped on the bottom.

Allow the bread to cool completely before slicing. This sesame bread is perfect for sandwiches, toast or just to eat with butter.

Tips:

If you want a stronger sesame flavor, you can add a little sesame oil to the dough. Keep in mind that sesame oil has a very strong flavor, so use sparingly.

You can also add other ingredients to the dough, such as nuts or dried fruit, to give your bread extra flavor.

If you don't have a loaf pan, you can form the dough into a round loaf and bake it on a greased baking sheet.

It is important to let the bread cool completely before slicing to prevent it from falling apart.

I hope you enjoy this sesame bread recipe. Happy baking!
