1. January - January

The first month of the year in German is called "Januar". This month, as well as in many other countries, is marked by the beginning of a new year and the celebration of the New Year. In German, the pronunciation of "Januar" is similar to English, with the "J" pronounced as "Y".

2. February - February

The next month is "Februar", or February. German, like many other languages, adopts month names very similar to those of English and Latin. In February, many Germans enjoy the carnival, known as "Karneval" or "Fasching".

3. March - März

March in German is "März". This month marks the beginning of spring in Germany, a period when the flowers start to bloom and the temperature starts to rise. The pronunciation of "März" is similar to the word "more" in English, but with a rolled "r".

4. April - April

April is "April" in German. This month is known for the rains that bring the green of spring. A curiosity is that in Germany, as well as in many other countries, there is the tradition of "April Fool's Day", known as "Aprilscherz".

5. May - May

May, or "Mai" in German, is a month full of celebrations in Germany. One of the most important is "Tag der Arbeit" (Labour Day) on May 1st. This month is also known for the celebration of "Muttertag" (Mother's Day).

6. June - Juni

June is "Juni" in German. This month marks the beginning of summer in Germany and is filled with open-air festivals and cultural events. One of the most important celebrations is "Johannistag" (St. John's Day) on the 24th of June.

7. July - July

Finally, we have July, or "Juli" in German. This is the hottest month of the year in Germany and is filled with outdoor activities such as picnics, hiking and swimming. The "Tag des Meeres" (Day of the Sea) is celebrated on July 8.
