With the release of Windows 11, many users are wondering how to use email in this new operating system. In this chapter of our e-book, we will explain how you can set up and use email in Windows 11, even if you are a beginner.
First, you need to access the Mail app that comes pre-installed in Windows 11. To do this, click the Start button in the bottom left corner of the screen and search for "Mail" in the search bar. Click on the Mail app to open it.
When you open the app for the first time, you will be asked to add an email account. If you already have a Microsoft email account (such as an @outlook.com, @live.com, or @hotmail.com address), you can enter that information here. If you have an email account from another provider, such as Gmail or Yahoo, you can also add it here. Click "Add Account" and follow the on-screen instructions to add your email account.
After adding your account, you will see your inbox. Here, you can see all your received emails. To read an email, simply click on it. If you want to reply to an email, click the "Reply" button at the bottom of the email. If you want to write a new email, click the "New Email" button in the top left corner of the screen.
Composing an email in Windows 11 is very similar to writing an email in any other email program. You need to enter the recipient's email address in the "To" field, write the subject of the email in the "Subject" field, and write your message in the large text field below. When you've finished writing your email, click the "Send" button in the top left corner of the screen.
The Windows 11 Mail app also has some unique features. For example, you can organize your emails into folders. To create a new folder, right-click the folder list on the left side of the screen and choose "New Folder." You can then drag and drop emails into this folder to organize them.
Another useful feature is the ability to mark emails as read or unread. If you have an email you want to read later, you can right-click on it and choose "Mark as unread." This will make the email appear as new in your inbox.
Finally, the Windows 11 Mail app lets you sync your emails across other devices. If you have a smartphone or tablet, you can install the Mail app on them and access your emails from anywhere. To do this, you need to sign in to the same email account in the Mail app on all your devices.
We hope this chapter helped you understand how to use email in Windows 11. Although it may seem complicated at first, with a little practice, you will become an expert at using email in Windows 11.
