How to design invitations and cards in Canva

Canva is an online graphic design tool that is easy to use and incredibly effective. With a variety of templates, images, and fonts to choose from, Canva makes design simple for everyone. In this tutorial, we'll discuss how you can use Canva to create stunning invitations and cards.

Step 1: Go to the Canva website

To get started, you need to create a Canva account. You can do this by visiting www.canva.com and clicking 'Sign up'. You can sign up with your email address, Google account or Facebook account.

Step 2: Select the design type

Once you are logged into your account, you will see a variety of design options on the homepage. For invitations and cards, you can choose 'Card' or 'Invitation' in the 'Create a Design' section. This will open a new page with a blank workspace and a variety of templates to your right.

Step 3: Choose a template

Canva offers a wide range of templates to choose from. You can search for specific themes like 'wedding' or 'anniversary', or simply scroll through the list and pick one you like. Click on the template to add it to your workspace.

Step 4: Customize your design

Now that you have a template, it's time to make it your own. Click on the text to edit and enter your own words. You can change the font, size, color and alignment of the text. You can also add new text elements if needed.

Also, you can change the background image by clicking on it and choosing a new image from the 'Photos' tab on the left. You can search for specific images or scroll through the list and pick one you like. Click on the image to add it to your design.

Step 5: Download or share your design

Once you're happy with your design, it's time to share it with the world. Click the 'Share' button in the top right corner to share your design via email or social media. You can also download the design in multiple formats including JPG, PNG and PDF.
