Date and time functions
In Excel, there are several functions that allow you to work with dates and times. These functions can be very useful in several situations, such as calculation of deadlines, analysis of trends, among others.
Date Functions
Date functions allow you to work with specific dates, such as the current date, today's date plus a certain number of days, and more. Some of the main date functions are:
=TODAY()

: returns a specific date, from the year, month and day entered.=DAYS360(start_date, end_date, [method])
: returns the number of days between two dates, considering a specific calculation method.
Time functions
The time functions allow you to work with specific times, such as the current time, the current time plus a certain number of hours, and so on. Some of the main time functions are:
=NOW()
: Returns the current date and time.=TIME(time)
: returns the time of a given time.=MINUTE(time)
: returns the minute of a given time.=SECOND(time)
: Returns the second of a given time.
Formatting dates and times
In addition to functions, you can format dates and times in several ways in Excel. To do so, simply select the cell containing the date or time and choose the "Format Cells" option. You can choose from several formatting options, such as full date, hour with minutes, and more.
