1. Selection Tool

2. Drawing Tool

The drawing tool is another basic tool that you will use frequently in Adobe Illustrator. It allows you to create custom shapes and lines in your workspace. There are several drawing tools available, including the Pen tool, the Pencil tool, and the Brush tool.

The Pen tool is the most versatile of the drawing tools. It allows you to create straight and curved lines with precision. To draw a straight line, click to create the first point, then click again to create the second point. To draw a curve, click and drag to create the first point, then click and drag in another direction to create the second point.

The Pencil tool is best suited for freehand drawing. Just click and drag to draw a line. The Brush tool works similarly to the Pencil tool, but creates lines with a softer, more painted appearance.

3. Text Tool

The Text tool is an essential tool for adding text to your designs. It allows you to create text boxes on your workspace into which you can type your text. You can adjust the text size, font, color, and alignment using the character control panel.

To create a text box, select the text tool and click and drag in your workspace. After creating the text box, you can start typing. To adjust the size of text, select the text and change the size value in the character control panel. To adjust the font, select the text and choose a font from the font drop-down menu. To adjust the text color, select the text and choose a color from the color picker.

In summary, the selection tool, drawing tool, and text tool are basic tools that you will use regularly when creating social media designs in Adobe Illustrator. Familiarizing yourself with these tools is an essential step toward becoming proficient in using Illustrator.
