  • mirar (to look) – mirarse (to look at oneself)
  • bañar (to bathe) – bañarse (to bathe oneself)
  • sentar (to seat) – sentarse (to sit oneself down)

When using reflexive verbs, you need to conjugate the verb appropriately and use a reflexive pronoun (me, te, se, nos, os, se) that matches the subject:

  • Some verbs can be used both reflexively and non-reflexively. For example, acostar means “to put to bed” (someone else), but acostarse means “to go to bed” (oneself).
