Pear Bread Recipe

Preparation Method:

1. In a large bowl, add the wheat flour, yeast, sugar and salt. Mix all dry ingredients well.

2. Gradually add water and start kneading the dough. When the dough begins to take shape, add the butter and continue kneading until the dough is smooth and elastic. This can take about 10 to 15 minutes.

3. Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let the dough rest for about 1 to 2 hours, or until the dough has doubled in size.

4. While the dough is resting, prepare the pears. Peel the pears and cut them into small cubes. Book it.

5. Once the dough has doubled in size, add the pear cubes to the dough and knead again to incorporate the pears into the dough.

6. Divide the dough into two equal parts and shape each part into a loaf. Place the loaves in a greased loaf pan and let rest for another 1 hour, or until the loaves have doubled in size.

7. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Beat the egg and brush the top of the buns with the beaten egg.

8. Bake the buns for about 30 to 40 minutes, or until the buns are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the middle of the bun comes out clean.

9. Let the loaves cool in the tin for about 10 minutes, then remove the loaves from the tin and let them cool completely on a wire rack.

Notes:

If you prefer, you can replace the pears with other fruits, such as apples or peaches. Also, you can add nuts or raisins to the dough for extra flavor.
