The fuel supply system is one of the most important parts of a car's engine. He is responsible for providing the necessary fuel so that the engine can function properly. This system is made up of several components such as the fuel tank, fuel pump, fuel filter, injectors and pressure regulator.

The process of functioning of the fuel supply system starts in the fuel tank, where the fuel is stored. The fuel pump is responsible for pulling fuel from the tank and sending it to the fuel filter, which has the function of cleaning the fuel from impurities and dirt.

After passing through the fuel filter, the fuel is sent to the injectors, which are responsible for spraying the fuel inside the engine. The injectors are controlled by an electronic system that determines the amount of fuel that must be injected into the engine at any given time.

To ensure that fuel pressure is maintained at optimal levels, the fuel supply system has a pressure regulator. This component has the function of controlling the fuel pressure that is sent to the injectors, ensuring that the engine receives the correct amount of fuel at all times.

It is important to point out that a poorly regulated fuel supply system can cause several problems in the car engine. If the fuel pressure is too low, the engine may misfire or not start at all. On the other hand, if the fuel pressure is too high, the engine can be damaged and even have a reduced service life.

Therefore, it is essential that the fuel supply system is kept in perfect working order. It is recommended that the fuel filter be changed every 10,000 kilometers and that the fuel pump be checked regularly by a specialized mechanic.
