Regulatory Norm 31 (NR 31) is one of the main guidelines governing Safety and Health at Work in Agriculture, Livestock, Silviculture, Forest Exploitation and Aquaculture. This norm was created to establish the prerequisites for carrying out activities in these areas in a safe and healthy manner, guaranteeing the physical and mental integrity of the workers involved.

NR 31 is divided into several subsections, each addressing a specific aspect of health and safety in agricultural work. The standard covers a wide range of topics, from preventing accidents and occupational illnesses to promoting safe and healthy work environments.

This includes providing sanitary facilities, ensuring adequate lighting and ventilation conditions, and maintaining a work environment free of agents harmful to health.
