To set up a network, you will need a router or a switch. The router is the device that connects computers on a local area network (LAN) and the switch is the device that allows computers to communicate with each other within the LAN. You will also need network cables to connect the computers to the router or switch.

Once you have the necessary hardware components, you can start configuring the network. The first step is to connect the computers to the router or switch using network cables. Next, you will need to configure the computers IP settings. Each computer on a network must have a unique IP address so that they can communicate with each other. You can configure IP addresses manually or use Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) to automatically assign IP addresses.

Setting up the internet is a process similar to setting up a network. However, instead of connecting the computers to a router or switch, you'll connect them to a modem. The modem is the device that connects the local network to the internet. As with network configuration, you will need to configure the computers IP settings. However, instead of using local IP addresses, you will use public IP addresses that are unique on the internet.

Once you have configured the IP addresses, you will need to configure the DNS settings. The Domain Name System (DNS) is the system that translates the domain names that people use to browse the internet into the IP addresses that computers use to communicate. You can configure DNS settings manually or use Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) to automatically assign them.

Finally, you will need to configure the gateway settings. The gateway is the device that connects the local network to the internet. You can configure the gateway manually or use Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) to automatically assign it.
