35. Korean Animal Vocabulary

Welcome to our Korean animal vocabulary lesson. This is an important topic for any Korean learner, as animals are an essential part of everyday life and are also often used in idioms and metaphors. Let's learn together!

Domestic Animals

Domestic animals are a great place to start, as they are animals we are most familiar with. Here are some of the most common ones:

  • Dog - 개 (gae)
  • Cat - 고양이 (goyangi)
  • Fish - 물고기 (mulgogi)
  • Bird - 새 (sae)
  • Hamster - 햄스터 (haemseuteo)
  • Rabbit - 토끼 (tokki)
  • Horse - 말 (evil)

Wild Animals

Now, let's move on to some wild animals. These are animals you might find in a zoo or in a nature documentary.

  • Leo - 사자 (saja)
  • Tiger - 호랑이 (horangi)
  • Elephant - 코끼리 (kokkiri)
  • Bear - 곰 (gom)

Marine Animals
