Guava Jelly Preparation:

While the dough is resting, you can prepare the guava jelly. Start by cutting the guavas into small pieces, removing the seeds. Place the guavas and sugar in a saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the guava breaks down and the mixture thickens. Allow the jam to cool before using.

Assembling the Bread:

Once the dough has doubled in size, transfer it to a floured surface and knead it briefly to remove the air. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread the guava jelly on top. Roll the dough lengthwise, as if you were making a jelly roll.

Place the bread in a greased mold and let it rest for another 30 minutes, until the dough rises a little more. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 180°C.

Bake the bread for about 30 minutes, until it is golden brown and makes a hollow sound when you tap the bottom. Let the bread cool in the tin for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
