Course Description

Prepare for the CompTIA Network N10-009 exam with a free, end-to-end training experience built for real-world networking and modern infrastructure. This course guides you from foundational concepts to practical skills you can apply in enterprise environments, cloud-connected networks, and hybrid deployments.

Build a strong core by mastering the OSI model, network devices and functions, and the protocols and ports that drive communication across networks. You will strengthen your understanding of Ethernet and wireless technologies, cabling and transceivers, connectors, and common topologies and architectures used to design reliable networks.

Grow into IP addressing with clear explanations of IPv4 and IPv6, subnetting techniques, masks, and host calculations, helping you become faster and more accurate when planning networks. You will also explore routing fundamentals, including static and dynamic routing, NAT, VLANs and trunking, interface configuration concepts, and Spanning Tree Protocol.

Expand into cloud-aware networking with topics like cloud design and models, software-defined networking, VXLAN, and infrastructure as code, along with security approaches such as Zero Trust and segmentation enforcement. Operational readiness is covered through documentation, lifecycle and configuration management, monitoring with logs and SNMP, redundancy planning, and disaster recovery principles.

Strengthen security and troubleshooting skills by learning authentication concepts, security technologies, compliance considerations, and common attacks such as denial of service, VLAN hopping, MAC flooding, ARP and DNS poisoning, rogue services, social engineering, and malware. Finally, develop a structured troubleshooting workflow, covering cable, interface, switching, routing, performance, and wireless issues, plus essential software, command-line, and hardware tools used by network professionals.
