About the free online course

Learning acrylic nails can feel intimidating at first: the ratio, the bead, the brush angle, the prep, the timing. This beginner-friendly course breaks that stress cycle by focusing on the real-world habits that make acrylic application predictable and clean. You’ll learn how to set yourself up for success before product ever touches the nail, so your work looks smoother, lasts longer, and feels comfortable for everyday wear.

Throughout the lessons, you’ll practice foundational services such as short natural sets and classic shapes, while also developing the control needed for trending finishes like soft gradients. You’ll understand why certain steps matter, not just how to copy them, so you can troubleshoot common beginner problems like product that won’t stay on the brush, uneven thickness, or early lifting. The training also helps you move faster without cutting corners by introducing workflow improvements that keep your application efficient and consistent.

The course gives you practical guidance for maintaining acrylic over time, including fill-ins, working neatly near the cuticle area, and correcting growth in a way that protects the natural nail. You’ll also learn safer approaches to shortening length during services and how to remove or refine old product with better control. If you’re working at home, you’ll appreciate the tips for handling your non-dominant hand and building steadier technique step by step.

To round out your understanding, you’ll explore how acrylic and gel differ in their curing and polymerization processes, helping you make smarter product choices and avoid confusion between systems. By the end, you’ll have a stronger, more professional routine from prep to finish, plus the confidence to create durable, polished acrylic nails that look intentional—whether you’re starting a beauty journey or preparing for client-ready practice.

Prep the nail by removing excess cuticle, gently dehydrating the plate, and ensuring it is clean and free of oils.

What is the difference between acrylic nails and gel nails?

Acrylic hardens when liquid monomer and polymer powder react, while gel polish or gel enhancements cure under a UV or LED lamp.

How do you safely remove lifted acrylic nails?

Carefully reduce the lifted product with a nail file or electric file, avoiding pressure or pulling that could damage the natural nail.
